Chocolate Cupcakes

I'm so sorry for my absence!!! I was away on the weekend so I couldn't write =(
Unfortunately the weather was not very good and so I didn't take much pictures. Mostly we spent the time in front of the fire watching "The Big Bang Theory" and when there were 20 minutes of sun we enjoyed it outside. There are some pictures, which I will show you in a few days ;)

A few weeks ago in our Cub Scout group (a bunch of kids between 6 and 10) we made Chocolate – Muffins. According to the kids they are “the best they have ever eaten” and “so good that it couldn’t be true”. If that’s true or if it’s just because they made them themselves I don’t know ;) I definitely think they are quite delicious ;) They are very chocolaty and very easy to make. We decorated with gummy bears and chocolate, but you can use something else instead.

You need:
250 g butter
Little bit of salt
250 g sugar
20 g cocoa
150 g bitter chocolate
Little bit of cinnamon
125 ml milk
500 g flour
1 sachet of baking powder

What to do:

First you mix the butter till it’s smooth and fluffy (so fluffy you could die ;)).
After that: add the sugar and the eggs one by one and step by step. The mix again till it’s smooth and fluffy.

Then add the chocolate (mix again)

Add the milk and the flour and the baking powder and mix it shortly.

Fill it in the cupcake-pan. And put it in the oven, the oven should be heated to 180 ° C and let them bake for round about 30 minutes.

Now you can decorate it the way you like!

Enjoy it! Till then,
Fiona

My Grandmothers Pancakes

If my siblings are asked what they would like to eat for lunch or dinner, 1 time out of 3 times they shout “oh pancakes would be awesome!!!” And they are right! Pancakes are awesome (and so easy ;))

So today I show you how to make pancakes ;)

You need:

400 g flour
4 eggs
500 ml milk
250 ml mineral water

Mix the flour and the eggs together.

After that add the milk and the water and that mix it till its smooth.  The mineral water ensures that the dough is fluffy ;)

Now you just need a pan and some oil to bake it. Don’t make the pan too hot, because if you do the pan cakes will get black not yellow-brown ;)

Enjoy your pancakes ;)  You can eat them with marmalade or cream cheese or sugar and cinnamon or yogurt or fruits or vegetables or whatever you like =D

The recipe is from my grandmother who I love very much ;) I still think, that her pancakes are better than mine... but I don't know, what she does and I don't =(

I say "bye" for the weekend ;) I will be away till sunday evening and hopefully I have loads to tell you on monday ;)

Till then,
Fiona
